This park is stunning. They've really put a lot more work into the gardens lately, and it really pays off. Great spot for a picnic, Frisby or just lying around. Downsides would be don't sit near ducks (poop) and avoid the washroom at all costs. Alyssa Crowder rated Four-star on 26 Jul 2017.
Beacon Hill park is a wonderful place to walk. There is a petting zoo, and many sports fields. Be aware that at night it can be pretty shady. But, it is still my favorite walking place in town. Evan Harley rated Five-star on 23 Jul 2017.
This park is beautifully situated beside the city. Lots of choices of things to do from a picnic to the petting zoo. There is a splash park style play area for children as well as a normal playground. Lovely flowers to look at and music in the park on various days to entertain you. Buses stop at the edge of the park making it super accessible. Paul Barron rated Five-star on 23 Jul 2017.
The gardens were pretty but the highlight was the goat petting zoo area. The kids quite enjoyed themselves and there were beautiful peacocks strutting around also. There was free 3 hour parking and bathrooms on site. There was also a good playground. Celeste Munger rated Five-star on 11 Jul 2017.
Stunning park with beautiful sights around every corner. If arriving by cruise ship, it is about a 30 minute walk that takes you along the coast and gorgeous houses that line it. You will hear all kinds of bird calls (which may depend on season), encounter loads of ducks, see various art installations, and so much more. I wish I had more time to stay and explore as there were so many gems I found in my short hour walk through. I can only be left wondering what I may have seen had I more time. Respect the wildlife so future visitors can enjoy its beauty. Chris Wiggins rated Five-star on 17 Jun 2017.
